Apparently Consumption of Coffee can Prevent Disease


Coffee has been known to have benefits for the heart and keep the person to remain vigilant due to its caffeine content. But coffee also contains antioxidants and other compounds that can prevent some types of cancer and other serious diseases.

The ideal dose of coffee consumed is as much as 2 cups per day so as not to cause addiction. To get the health benefits of coffee, consume coffee every day with a medium or moderate doses.

As reported thedailymeal, Friday (09/28/2012) following 10 diseases that can be prevented by consuming coffee:

Skin Cancer
This does not mean to drink coffee, you do not need to use sunscreen. But people who drink coffee are less likely to develop basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer is the most common. This is evidenced by a study conducted by researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. The researchers believe that the association may be due to the caffeine has properties inhibit the development of basal cell skin cancer.

Breast Cancer
Based on research conducted Keio University in Tokyo found that coffee induces protein can prevent the growth of breast cancer cell line. Post-menopausal women who drink coffee also lowers the risk of breast cancer non-hormonal responsiveness, based on studies in Sweden.

Diabetes
Type potein called sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), which serves to regulate the sex hormone, it plays a role in controlling type 2 diabetes. Coffee consumption is known to increase levels of SHBG in the blood, thus lowering the risk of diabetes.


Alzheimer's
A recent study participants aged 65 to 88 years showed that those who consumed less coffee showed signs of early dementia and symptoms of Alzheimer's than those who drank more coffee. Caffeine in coffee is considered to provide long-term protection against the ability of the brain stores memory.

Colon Cancer
A team of researchers at the National Cancer Institute has studied the habits of a group of Americans for 15 years and found that people who drank coffee had a 15 percent lower risk of developing colon cancer. Researchers are not quite sure why this happens, but it may be the antioxidant compounds in coffee methylpyridinium effective in fighting colon cancer. Prostate Cancer

This is not because the caffeine in coffee, but antioksidanlah phenolic acids and activity that cuts the risk of prostate cancer. Australian researchers believe that in addition to coffee, green tea also has the same effect with coffee in preventing prostate cancer.

Endometrial Cancer
Endometrial cancer is a type of uterine cancer is the most common and usually affects women between the ages of 60 and 70 years. Research conducted on post-menopausal women who are obese are about drinking coffee, people who drank two or more cups of coffee per day have a lower risk of endometrial cancer. It could be because coffee lowers levels of insulin and estrogen.

Liver Cancer
One study of the University of Minnesota found that coffee intake reduces the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma, liver cancers are the most common. Several other studies also meyatakan that coffee consumption has been associated with a lower risk of liver cancer.

Oral Cancer
Oral cancer can affect the gums, cheek lining, and the palate. Caffeinated coffee showed a reduction in the risk of cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx, according to a study in the UK.

Depression
Coffee can keep you from feeling depressed. As the report of a study that followed 50,000 women between the ages of 35 and 50 years, those who consumed coffee avoid the risk of depression by 15 percent. This might be due to the caffeine in coffee that makes a person more active and alert.
